Synopsis
The Accountant² (2025) is a Gavin O'Connor crime thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Ben Affleck returns as Christian Wolff, the autistic math savant who keeps quiet books by day and solves problems with a gun by night. This time someone from his past turns up dead, and Wolff takes the case himself.
Deputy director Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) starts hunting the killers using a clue left behind by her murdered boss, Ray King. The trail points straight at Wolff. To break through a wall of hired guns, Christian pulls his estranged brother Braxton out of the shadows — played by Jon Bernthal, whose sparring with Affleck gives two equally lethal men a surprising comic edge. Together they unravel a conspiracy that someone is willing to keep buried with body after body.
The tagline asks "Do you like puzzles?", and it means it: the plot clicks together clue by clue, with the numbers lining up only at the end. This sequel to 2016's The Accountant keeps director O'Connor and writer Bill Dubuque, and brings back J.K. Simmons. Runtime is 132 minutes of chases, gunfire and arithmetic.
