Enid (Niamh Algar) works at the film classification board and is known as its strictest reviewer, calmly demanding that every extra blow and splash of blood be trimmed. Beneath that composure sits an old wound: her younger sister vanished years ago, and Enid has never accepted that she's dead. When a cheap horror film shows her a scene that mirrors her own childhood — and a face she thinks she recognizes — she tracks down the producer to learn the truth, and the line between screen and reality begins to dissolve.

Bailey-Bond's debut feature works as an unsettling thriller and a sly swipe at the era's moral hysteria, when VHS tapes were blamed for society's ills. Grainy textures, a feverish color shift in the finale, and Algar charting a slow unraveling make this a find for fans of smart arthouse horror rather than easy jump scares.
