The Olmedo family leaves the countryside chasing a better life and settles into a big apartment in the Malasaña district. The rent is cheap, the rooms are roomy, and something already lives there. Floors creak, doors that should stay shut don't, and a figure keeps appearing near the elderly grandfather and the kids. Daughter Amparo is the first to count more presences in the flat than people on the lease.

It leans on period texture as much as jump scares: the wallpaper, the furniture, the dread of a Spain shedding its old skin.
