Veronica

Veronica (2017) is a Spanish horror film you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Paco Plaza — one half of the team behind the [REC] franchise — and inspired by an actual Madrid police file from 1992. Sandra Escacena plays the lead in her screen debut.

Sixteen-year-old Veronica is basically raising her three younger siblings on her own while their mother works double shifts. On the day of a solar eclipse, she and two friends hold a séance in the school basement, hoping to reach her dead father. Something comes through. Back in the apartment that night, objects shift, the younger kids wake up screaming, and Veronica starts sensing a presence that follows her from room to room.
