One Cut of the Dead

One Cut of the Dead (2017), known in Japan as Kamera o Tomeru na!, is Shinichiro Ueda's horror comedy you can watch online on iFILM. A scrappy low-budget crew shoots a zombie short inside an abandoned wartime facility, and then the dead show up for real.

It opens with a single unbroken take running nearly thirty-seven minutes: a manic director driving his terrified team, the camera never cutting, blood splashing the walls. First impressions lie, though. The back half flips everything you just watched, revealing what was actually going on behind that chaos and why anyone would film live zombies in one continuous shot. Go in knowing as little as possible.
