Synopsis
Köln 75 (2025) is a historical drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Ido Fluk, with Mala Emde and John Magaro leading a co-production spanning Germany, Belgium, Poland, and the United States. The tagline says it plainly: "In a man's world, make some noise."
Seventeen-year-old Vera Brandes booked Keith Jarrett to play the Cologne Opera House on January 24, 1975. The piano was wrong. Jarrett was exhausted and ready to walk. No budget to swap anything, no time to cancel. The men around Vera assumed she'd fold. She didn't — and Jarrett walked out and played what became the best-selling solo piano recording ever made.
Ulrich Tukur, Michael Chernus, and Alexander Scheer round out the cast. Fluk treats the story less like a triumph and more like a close call — the kind where the outcome feels genuinely uncertain until it isn't. Stream Köln 75 online on iFILM.
