Elvis (2022) is Baz Luhrmann's music drama, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Austin Butler plays the king of rock and roll opposite Tom Hanks as his manager.

The boy from Tupelo doesn't get to tell his own story. Instead it comes from Colonel Tom Parker, the huckster who kept a grip on the singer's career and bank account for more than two decades. From the early shows where Presley's hips drove crowds wild and outraged the censors, to the long Vegas stretch, the film follows the deals and the debts that turned a kid with a guitar into a gilded prisoner. Butler sings the early numbers himself before his voice is blended with the real recordings.

Luhrmann skips the tidy biography for a two-and-a-half-hour rush: jagged cuts, glitter packed into every frame, a soundtrack that throws fifties rockabilly against modern hip-hop. Butler won a Golden Globe for the part and reportedly stayed in character for a year. Hanks, usually cast as the decent everyman, plays a clammy, pitiable villain instead.
