Families

Families (Belles Familles, 2015) is Jean-Paul Rappeneau's comic drama, available to watch online on iFILM. Jérôme Varenne (Mathieu Amalric) has built a comfortable life as a financier in Shanghai — until word reaches him that his family's old house back in the town of Ambray is about to be sold off.

He drops everything and heads home, walking straight into a property feud with relatives who each want something different. He also walks into Louise (Marina Vacth), and falls for her at the worst possible moment. Old grudges, fresh feelings and a houseful of family collide over a few restless days. With Gilles Lellouche, Karin Viar and André Dussollier rounding out the cast, Rappeneau delivers a warm, slightly old-fashioned comedy about how grown adults keep getting pulled back to the place they once ran from.
