Synopsis
Bon Voyage (2003) is a French wartime farce from director Jean-Paul Rappeneau, and you can watch it online on iFILM. It's June 1940. German troops are about to roll into Paris, and half the country is fleeing south toward Bordeaux.
Everyone ends up under one roof — the lavish Hotel Splendide. A spoiled movie star (Isabelle Adjani) drags along the writer who's loved her since school; a government minister (Gérard Depardieu) juggles actresses and the fate of France in the same breath; and a young physicist races to smuggle a stock of heavy water past German agents. Virginie Ledoyen plays the science student everyone keeps risking their necks for.
Rappeneau stages it as screwball comedy laced with spy intrigue, all flirtation and panic crammed into hotel corridors while the Third Republic collapses outside. Glossy, fast and packed with stars — easy viewing for anyone who likes witty French cinema. Stream Bon Voyage (2003) online on iFILM.
