Synopsis
Color of Night (1994) is Richard Rush's erotic thriller starring Bruce Willis, and you can watch it online on iFILM. A New York psychiatrist watches a patient throw herself out his office window mid-session, and the shock leaves him unable to see the color red.
He flees to Los Angeles to stay with an old friend and fellow therapist. Then the friend is stabbed to death, and Willis's character steps in to run his therapy group while the police float a theory: the killer is one of the patients. He also falls into a feverish affair with a mysterious young woman, played by Jane March, who may be tangled up in the crime. The fractured group members are brought to life by Lance Henriksen, Brad Dourif, Kevin J. O'Connor and Scott Bakula.
Rush built the film as a twisty whodunit where nearly everyone is lying and the answer hides in the session room. Two cuts exist: the theatrical version and a longer director's cut running past 140 minutes with franker scenes. It's a slow, sweaty, very nineties kind of mystery with a sting in the final act.
