Synopsis
Damien - Omen II (1978) is Don Taylor's supernatural horror-thriller, available to watch online on iFILM. Picking up seven years after The Omen, the orphaned Damien now lives with his wealthy aunt and uncle, still unaware of what he truly is.
He's thirteen and enrolled in a military academy, and the bodies start piling up around him — each death freakish, brutal and conveniently timed. William Holden plays his uncle Richard, with Lee Grant, Lance Henriksen and Leo McKern alongside. Slowly the boy begins to grasp his own nature, and anyone who tries to expose or stop him pays for it.
This second chapter of the classic satanic trilogy runs on the same chilling premise as the original: evil growing quietly under a respectable roof. The film is best remembered for its inventively gruesome set-piece deaths, a signature of the whole series. Solid late-1970s horror for fans of the genre's old guard.
