Vacation Friends

Six months later, Ron and Kayla crash their meticulously staged wedding uninvited and proceed to detonate every careful plan the couple has made. John Cena plays the sweet, oblivious Ron and carries half the laughs, while Lil Rel Howery does the slow-burn panic that makes the whole odd-couple setup click.

Tarver, a Silicon Valley writer, builds a sturdy cringe comedy where the engine isn't plot but two temperaments grinding against each other. It doesn't reach for depth, but the chemistry between Cena and Meredith Hagner is reliable, and Cena is genuinely funny sending up his own muscle-bound image.
