Director Keenen Ivory Wayans strips down every '90s slasher — Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Matrix — and rebuilds them as 88 minutes of gleeful mockery. Made for $19 million, it pulled in $278 million worldwide.
Anna Faris plays Cindy Campbell, whose group of friends hit a stranger on Halloween, dumped the body, and thought it was over. It isn't. A masked killer is on their trail — or trying to be, between pratfalls and botched attempts. Regina Hall, Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans turn every horror cliché inside out: the final girl is clueless, the jock is more scared than anyone, and the killer can barely hold a knife.
