The murders aren't random. Every kill drags a buried secret into public view, the kind of thing the victim spent years hiding from the whole town. Sydney Park plays Makani, a transfer student with a dark past of her own, terrified that hers will be the next one exposed. She and a handful of fellow outsiders race to unmask the killer before the list reaches them.

Adapted from Stephanie Perkins' young-adult novel and produced by James Wan's team, the film cares less about gore than about the dread of being publicly outed.
