Victor dreams of being a great novelist but, without Sarah, he would have stayed the author of manuscripts nobody wanted. Doria Tillier plays Sarah from her twenties into her seventies and anchors the whole film. Nicolas Bedos, who also directs and co-wrote it, plays Victor and stages a marriage where love, ambition, betrayal and calculation are knotted too tight to pull apart.
