Synopsis
The Theory of Everything (2014) is James Marsh's biographical drama you can watch online on iFILM. Eddie Redmayne plays a young Stephen Hawking; Felicity Jones is his wife Jane.
Cambridge, the early 1960s. A doctoral student chasing ideas about time meets Jane Wilde, who studies languages. They fall for each other, and then the diagnosis lands: a motor neurone disease, with doctors giving him roughly two years. Jane marries him anyway. What follows is decades in which his body shuts down piece by piece while his mind keeps rewriting physics. The film cares less about the breakthroughs than about what they cost a marriage. Charlie Cox, Emily Watson and David Thewlis round out the cast.
