Alone in the Dark

Slater plays Edward Carnby, a private investigator who specializes in the paranormal. The death of an old friend pulls him toward the lost Abkani civilization, whose relics can crack open a door for an army of creatures lurking in the dark. Tara Reid is a museum researcher, Dorff commands a covert unit that hunts the things by flashlight, and the plot lurches between archaeological mystery and gunfights without much concern for how it gets there.

The film has earned a cult reputation for the wrong reasons, turning up regularly on lists of the worst game adaptations ever made.
