Synopsis
The Grudge 2 (2006) is Takashi Shimizu's supernatural horror, and you can watch it online on iFILM. The curse born in an abandoned Tokyo house is far from finished; it clings to anyone who has set foot inside and refuses to let go.
The story unfolds across three threads. In Tokyo, college student Aubrey (Amber Tamblin) arrives to find the sister who barely survived the earlier killings. A trio of schoolgirls dares its way into the cursed house and pays for it. Meanwhile, in a Chicago apartment block, a family starts hearing and seeing things that have no business being there. Slowly the three strands knot together, as the curse spreads from person to person like an infection that distance cannot stop.
Shimizu directs the fourth telling of his own tale and again trusts slow, creeping dread over cheap jump scares, leaning on that wet throat rattle, a shadow on the stairs, a shape at the edge of the frame.
