Synopsis
Rumble in the Bronx (1995) is the Hong Kong action romp you can watch online on iFILM, the film that finally cracked the US market open for Jackie Chan. Hong Kong cop Keung flies to New York for his uncle's wedding and walks straight into someone else's street war.
The uncle has just sold his Bronx market to a young new owner, neglecting to mention the local gang that treats the place as its turf. Keung steps in, scatters the thugs across a few alleys, then stumbles onto a missing-diamonds mess run by people far nastier than petty crooks. The fights spill across parking lots, warehouses and rooftops, and Chan does it all with no stunt double and no CGI safety net.
Directed by Stanley Tong, the movie was shot in Vancouver standing in for New York, mountains and all. Don't come for plot logic; come for the sheer physical momentum, the gags, and stunts that make you wince. For ninety minutes of pure motion, stream Rumble in the Bronx (1995) online on iFILM.
