Snatch

Snatch (2000) is a British crime comedy written and directed by Guy Ritchie — watch it online on iFILM. Jason Statham, Brad Pitt, Benicio del Toro, Dennis Farina and Vinnie Jones head a sprawling ensemble across 104 minutes of controlled London chaos.

Everything traces back to one eighty-four-carat stolen diamond. Franky Four Fingers (del Toro) is carrying it across Europe while gambling away his commission. Jeweller Avi (Farina) flies in from New York to retrieve it. Small-time thieves Sol and Vinny manage to lose it before they even had it. Underground boxing promoter Brick Top (Alan Ford) runs the fights that keep pulling everyone into the same room. Turkish (Statham) just wants to manage one competent boxer — instead he gets Mickey O'Neil (Pitt), a bare-knuckle fighter from an Irish Traveller camp whose accent defeats everyone around him.

Ritchie's second feature after Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, made with composer John Murphy and editor Jon Harris.
