Vince, a young laborer scraping by, overhears talk of fast money, intercepts a dead man's instructions, and shows up at the address, with no idea he's just signed on to an underground Russian roulette ring where the rich bet fortunes on strangers' lives.

In a dim room, men are arranged in a circle, each handed a revolver. On a signal, every player presses his gun to the head of the man in front of him and pulls the trigger at the same instant. Round after round, more bullets go into the chambers, the odds keep dropping, and walking away isn't an option, since the crowd outside has staked everything on you. Vince draws number thirteen. Sam Riley plays the cornered kid, while Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham, Ray Winstone, Michael Shannon and Alexander Skarsgård ring the arena, each with his own gambler and his own bet.
