Synopsis
Last Days (2005) is a drama from director Gus Van Sant that you can watch online on iFILM. Shot with the same patient, almost wordless style as Elephant and Gerry, the film follows a fading rock star through what appear to be his final hours in an old country house.
Michael Pitt plays Blake — gaunt, withdrawn, drifting through rooms in a woman's dress, strumming guitar fragments, barely registering the friends and hangers-on still occupying the building. A manager calls. A pair of missionaries knock at the door. None of it reaches him. Van Sant holds the camera at a distance and lets the silence fill the frame.
