The Report

For five years he works in a windowless basement, reading through millions of classified pages. The picture that emerges is ugly. Jones writes a 7,000-page report. Then the harder fight begins: getting any of it released, against the CIA, the White House, and people on his own side.

Screenwriter Scott Z. Burns directs his first feature like a lean procedural, no swelling score to tell you how to feel. Annette Bening plays Senator Dianne Feinstein, with Jon Hamm and Michael C.
