Synopsis
Juliet, Naked (2018) is a wry British-American romance you can watch online on iFILM. Annie has spent fifteen years in a quiet seaside town beside Duncan, a man whose whole inner life revolves around a single obsession: Tucker Crowe, an obscure American rocker who vanished from public view twenty-five years ago.
A stripped-down acoustic demo of Crowe's famous record turns up online, and Duncan loses his mind over it. Annie does not. Her blunt, unimpressed review reaches Tucker himself, and a hesitant correspondence begins between them. Suddenly the woman tired of waiting for her real life to start finds herself trading honest emails with the very man her partner worships. Rose Byrne plays Annie, Ethan Hawke the worn-out, charming Crowe, and Chris O'Dowd the fan who can't let go.
Directed by Jesse Peretz from Nick Hornby's novel, this is a small, warm comedy about second chances and the trap of living through someone else's art.
