Synopsis

Arbitrage (2012) is a financial thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Richard Gere plays Robert Miller, a hedge fund magnate whose polished image hides a hole in the books big enough to sink him.

Miller is racing to sell his firm to a bank before an audit uncovers the fraud. Then one late-night car crash threatens to expose everything at once — his empire, his family, his freedom. He starts lying to his wife (Susan Sarandon), his CFO daughter (Brit Marling), and a detective who can smell a cover-up (Tim Roth). For now, money and influence keep the cracks hidden. Not for long.

Writer-director Nicholas Jarecki builds the tension out of balance sheets and cold arithmetic rather than chases. Every conversation is a negotiation where the loser walks away with nothing. Gere's charm makes Miller a predator you almost root for, which is the most unsettling thing here. A sharp pick for fans of money-and-morality dramas that refuse clean answers.
