Thea works as an assistant at a prestigious publishing house, where the job means everything from coffee runs to washing her boss's dog. About to be fired, she panics and claims she's expecting. Since the law makes it nearly impossible to sack a pregnant employee, the bluff sticks. Suddenly she's drowning in special treatment, a fast-tracked promotion and far too many questions about her due date. Faking morning sickness is one thing; faking a growing belly, prenatal visits and an eventual delivery is another — especially once she falls for a charming editor named Nick (Luke Kirby).

Directed by Lara Shapiro and clocking in at a brisk 89 minutes, this is light, low-stakes romantic comedy with no illusions about being anything else. Cheryl Hines, Janeane Garofalo and Chris Parnell fill out the supporting cast and pick up the laughs around Lohan. Easy weeknight viewing for anyone who misses her comedic run.
