Synopsis
The Foul King (2000) is Kim Jee-woon's bittersweet comedy-drama, ready to watch online on iFILM. Dae-ho is a meek bank clerk whose boss literally smacks him on the head for being too slow. The days blur together. Then he wanders into a wrestling gym, and the gray routine cracks open.
Song Kang-ho plays a man who has swallowed humiliation for years and now straps on a villain's mask — the Foul King, a heel who wins by cheating. By day he's still shuffling paperwork and dodging his manager. By night he's sweating through chokeholds and soaking up a crowd's roar. The laughs come easily at first, then quietly sour: chasing a way out of an ordinary life turns out to cost something.
