Synopsis
All or Nothing (2002) is a British drama by Mike Leigh that you can watch online on iFILM. Timothy Spall and Lesley Manville lead a South London ensemble living in the same housing estate — close in distance, far from each other.
Phil (Spall) drives a taxi and speaks mainly in silence. His partner Penny (Manville) works a supermarket checkout and has long since run out of expectations for their life together. Their daughter Rachel cleans houses; their son Rory barely leaves the flat and carries a specific, focused anger. Four people at the same table with almost nothing left to say — until one sudden event tears through the quiet.
Leigh built it the way he builds everything: through extended improvisation with the cast, which is where the performances get their particular texture. The film competed at Cannes 2002; James Corden and Sally Hawkins both appear in early roles. Watch All or Nothing (2002) online on iFILM.
