Synopsis
100 Girls (2000) is a romantic comedy from writer-director Michael Davis that you can watch online on iFILM. College freshman Matthew gets trapped in a dorm elevator during a campus-wide blackout. He spends the night in pitch darkness with a stranger, and by the time the power flickers back, she's already slipped away.
He's fallen for a girl whose face he never saw. The only clue: she lives in the all-female dorm, which leaves a hundred rooms and a hundred suspects. What follows is a semester-long investigation, complete with theories, false leads, and clumsy attempts to corner every woman on the floor. Jonathan Tucker carries it as a narrator whose running thoughts on men, women, and growing up play like a spoken diary. Emmanuelle Chriqui, Katherine Heigl, Jaime Pressly, and Larisa Oleynik fill out the dorm.
Davis keeps swerving off the expected path: under a crude teen-comedy shell sits an awkward, almost essayistic ramble about the sexes. It's a good fit for anyone who misses the campus comedies of the early 2000s. Stream 100 Girls (2000) online on iFILM.
