Gold (2022) is a survival thriller you can watch online on iFILM. In a near future where resources have run dry and people scrape by however they can, two drifters crossing the desert stumble onto an enormous gold nugget half-buried in the sand.

There's no way to dig out a slab that size by hand. So they make a deal: one heads off to fetch equipment while the other stays behind to guard the find. Zac Efron plays the man left waiting; Anthony Hayes, who also directed, plays his partner. The days drag on with no word, and the threats close in: a sandstorm, packs of wild dogs, strangers passing through, and the creeping fear that nobody is coming back.

Hayes builds an almost one-man piece, a single guy, a hole in the ground and a blistering horizon. The Australian outback punishes as hard as any villain, and greed gets a role of its own.
