Synopsis

Diana (2013) is a biographical romantic drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel with Naomi Watts as the Princess of Wales. The film narrows in on the final two years of her life, after the divorce from Prince Charles.

Stepping back from royal duties, Diana throws herself into the work that mattered to her — hospital visits, the campaign against landmines, a calendar packed end to end. On one of those visits to a London clinic she meets heart surgeon Hasnat Khan, played by Naveen Andrews. The relationship has to stay hidden from the press: late-night calls, snatched meetings, romance lived in the gaps between cameras. People close to Diana later called it the love of her life, and the film tries to find the woman behind the title.

Adapted from Kate Snell's book, the picture stirred real controversy on release, with those who knew Diana questioning how freely it reimagined the affair. Watts plays her in a restrained, almost hushed register. It suits viewers drawn to the private, vulnerable side of Diana rather than the public icon. Stream Diana (2013) online on iFILM.
