Synopsis
The Invasion (2007) is a sci-fi horror thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Director Oliver Hirschbiegel (Downfall) relocated the classic body-snatchers premise to Washington, D.C.: an alien pathogen recovered from a downed space shuttle spreads through sleep and strips every host of emotion, fear, and individual will.
Psychiatrist Carol Bennell (Nicole Kidman) starts hearing the same complaint from separate patients — someone close to them has changed. Too calm. Too cooperative. Not afraid of anything. Her colleague Ben Driscoll (Daniel Craig) runs down the science while the contagion spreads faster than either of them can track. Carol's young son Oliver may be immune, which makes him the most valuable — and most endangered — person in a city already going quiet. The tagline says it plainly: do not trust anyone, do not show emotion, do not fall asleep.
