Synopsis
My Life Without Me (2003) is Isabel Coixet's drama, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Ann is twenty-three, with two daughters, an out-of-work husband, and a night job mopping a university she'd never dare walk into by day. Then a doctor tells her she has two months left.
Sarah Polley plays Ann with almost no tears or breakdowns — quiet, methodical, as if working through an ordinary to-do list. She tells no one about the diagnosis, not her husband, not her mother. Instead she writes a list of things to finish while there's time. Record birthday tapes for her girls, years in advance. Find her husband a new wife. Fall truly in love at least once — which is where Lee (Mark Ruffalo) walks in. Scott Speedman, Debbie Harry, and Alfred Molina fill out the edges.
Coixet films dying without melodrama or speeches, and that restraint is what cuts deepest. Pedro Almodóvar produced it, and this early Polley performance ranks among her most controlled. It's a film for anyone ready to sit with a slow, hushed drama that lingers. Stream My Life Without Me (2003) online on iFILM.
