Synopsis
The Prince & Me (2004) is Martha Coolidge's romantic comedy, available to watch online on iFILM. Edward, heir to the Danish throne, ditches his royal duties and enrolls at an ordinary American college in Wisconsin, keeping his real name to himself.
There he ends up sharing a chemistry lab with Paige Morgan, a stubborn pre-med student set on becoming a doctor and not at all looking to fall for anyone. At first the cocky "regular guy" Eddie just gets on her nerves. Feelings sneak up on them anyway, and everything tangles once she learns who he really is. Paige is left with a hard choice: the life and career she planned, or a crown and the protocol of a country that isn't hers.
Julia Stiles plays a heroine who doesn't need a prince to feel like somebody, which sets the film a notch above the usual Cinderella sugar. Luke Mably co-stars, with Miranda Richardson as the queen and James Fox as the king.
