Narc

Narc (2002) is Joe Carnahan's bruising crime thriller, and you can watch it online on iFILM. An undercover narcotics cop is dead in a Detroit alley, the case has gone cold for two months, and the department wants it closed fast.

Nick Tellis (Jason Patric) lost his badge after a stakeout went wrong and a bystander paid for it. Reinstated to crack the murder, he gets partnered with Henry Oak (Ray Liotta) — a lieutenant who beats answers out of people and doesn't apologize for it. The two work the rot in the city's worst corners, and the closer they get, the dirtier the truth about their dead colleague becomes.

Carnahan shot it cheap and freezing, all grainy film stock and jittery cuts, so the whole thing feels like an interrogation that won't let up.
