Synopsis
Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd (2003) is Troy Miller's teen comedy prequel, and you can watch it online on iFILM. It rewinds to the high school years of Harry and Lloyd, the two dim heroes of the 1994 hit, who literally bump heads on the steps of a Rhode Island school.
Both boys were homeschooled for years and are hopelessly out of their depth in a real classroom. Principal Collins sees an opening: with cafeteria worker Miss Heller, he cooks up a scam to pocket a hundred-thousand-dollar charity grant by inventing a special-needs class. Harry and Lloyd are the perfect first recruits, and the pair happily round up the rest of the oddball roster, never guessing they're being played. Derek Richardson and Eric Christian Olsen play the young dunces, with Mimi Rogers, Eugene Levy, Luis Guzmán and a very young Shia LaBeouf alongside them.
Don't go looking for wit here: it's broad slapstick built around two lovable idiots and their stunts. It lands for fans of the original who just want to laugh at pure stupidity with no subtext attached. Stream Dumb and Dumberer (2003) online on iFILM.
