Synopsis

The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines (2006) is a globe-trotting fantasy adventure you can watch online on iFILM. Flynn Carsen, the bookish guardian of a secret library, trades his quiet stacks for the desert again when a map arrives pointing straight to the fabled mines of King Solomon.

The scroll gets stolen before he can use it, and it's worthless without a second piece needed to read it. The hunt drags Flynn from Casablanca to the Roman ruins at Volubilis in Morocco and on into wild Africa. Along the way he rescues a local guide named Jomo and joins forces with archaeologist Emily Davenport, while the mercenary General Samir chases the same treasure for far less scholarly reasons. Expect booby traps, ancient ciphers, and last-second escapes.

Noah Wyle is back as the charming, accident-prone know-it-all, with Jonathan Frakes directing (and playing Flynn's father). It's TV-movie Indiana Jones — light on grit, heavy on grin — and it knows exactly what it is. A solid, good-natured pick for a family movie night.
