Synopsis

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li (2009) is an action-adventure you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak and loosely based on the famous video game. It traces how a young woman becomes the franchise's most iconic fighter after a childhood torn apart by violence.

Crime lord M. Bison abducts Chun-Li's father in front of her, and years later she sets out to even the score. Played by Kristin Kreuk, she travels to Bangkok, trains under a secretive mentor, and works her way toward Bison's empire, with Neal McDonough chewing the scenery as the villain. Michael Clarke Duncan and Robin Shou fill out his crew, while Chris Klein plays a detective on his trail.

Built as an origin story for the game's Chun-Li, the film landed badly with longtime fans, drifting well away from the source. Taken on its own as a no-frills Saturday-night brawler, though, it moves fast and never takes itself too seriously. Stream Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li (2009) online on iFILM.
