Synopsis
Shelter Kingdom (Королевство, 2023) is a Russian drama from director Tatyana Rakhmanova, available to watch online on iFILM. A group of orphanage graduates decides to blow every ruble they've saved in just two days — they rent a lavish cottage and throw the party they've dreamed about their whole lives.
Those forty-eight hours are their tiny kingdom, a place where everything is finally allowed. Then the rental runs out, and giving the house back means going back to the old life — which none of them will do. The cottage becomes a fortress, a siege closes in from outside, and the kids hold the line, stubbornly waiting for it all to blow over and for dawn to come. Ivan Reshetnyak and Darya Kashirina lead.
