The Call

The Call (2020) is an American horror thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Timothy Woodward Jr. Fall 1987, small-town America. A group of teenagers has spent years making life miserable for Edith, an elderly recluse they believe is a witch — and responsible for their friend's sister Laura going missing.

Then Edith dies by suicide and leaves a peculiar will. One hundred thousand dollars to whoever calls her on the phone placed in her coffin and stays on the line for sixty seconds. The condition seems manageable. Nobody who tries it finds it manageable.

Lin Shay and Tobin Bell anchor the film with genuine genre credibility. Woodward Jr. builds his dread methodically — no relentless jump cuts, just a situation that grows steadily wronger. Solid throwback horror with a hook strong enough to justify its runtime. Stream The Call on iFILM.
