The Boy in the Woods

Max is twelve and suddenly alone. His family is gone; German patrols move through every village. A Polish farmer named Yasko takes him in — a man with no obligation and everything to lose. When a neighbor's tip brings soldiers to the door, Max has no choice but to run into the forest with almost nothing. Winter is coming.
