Synopsis

Two former Oxford classmates find themselves on opposite sides. Hugh Legat (George MacKay) serves as private secretary to British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, played by Jeremy Irons. His old German friend Paul von Hartmann (Jannis Niewöhner) works inside the Nazi foreign ministry, yet quietly turns against the regime. Paul carries a document that could blow up the deal with Hitler, and he must pass it on before the fateful agreement is signed.
