Synopsis
Sharpe's Company (1994) is a British TV movie you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Tom Clegg and based on the Bernard Cornwell novel — the fourth entry in ITV's Sharpe cycle.
Spain, 1812. Wellington's forces are assembling outside Badajoz, and Richard Sharpe (Sean Bean) learns he has a daughter inside the city walls. Bad timing: Sergeant Obadiah Hakeswill — the man Sharpe has wanted dead since India — just arrived with the reinforcements. Pete Postlethwaite plays Hakeswill as the kind of antagonist who makes your skin crawl with very little effort. Daragh O'Malley, Hugh Fraser, and Assumpta Serna fill out the rest of the cast reliably.
If you're watching the cycle in order, this is episode four. If not, the siege and the personal stakes hold up well enough on their own. Stream Sharpe's Company online on iFILM.
