Napoleon

Napoleon (2023) is Ridley Scott's historical drama, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Joaquin Phoenix plays the obscure artillery officer who clawed his way to the French throne.

The film tracks Bonaparte across three decades — from the blood and chaos of revolutionary Paris to his self-styled coronation and the mud of Waterloo. Running alongside the cannon fire is a quieter, sharper story: his fixation on Joséphine, played by Vanessa Kirby. Their marriage ignites and collapses again and again, and Scott reads the conqueror through it. Cold and precise on the battlefield, jealous and unsteady at home. The set-piece battles were shot for real, with thousands of extras and live artillery.
