The World Is Dancing (Season 1)

The World Is Dancing (ワールド イズ ダンシング, 2026) is a Japanese animated series you can watch online on iFILM. Set in 1374, when Japan's Northern and Southern Courts had been locked in conflict for decades, the story begins with the birth of Oniyasha into a family of sarugaku performers — a medieval theatrical tradition that would eventually become Noh.

Oniyasha grows up with one question that will not leave him: why do people dance? Not to survive, not because they must — why? Then he sees a performance that strikes him as genuinely good, and something opens up. The series tracks that opening slowly and with care.
