Nightborn

Saga and her British husband Jon move to an isolated house deep in a Finnish forest — the place where she grew up. Their baby is born. Everyone around them says the child is fine. Saga knows they are wrong. Jon tries to hold the marriage together, but all he can see is his wife unraveling. Only Saga understands what is actually in the crib.

Bergholm previously directed "Hatching" (2022), a Finnish horror that premiered at Sundance and drew attention for its precise, unflinching take on maternal dread. Here she returns to that territory — the kind of fear that lives inside domesticity and reads, from the outside, as a breakdown. A Finland-France-UK-Lithuania co-production.
