Synopsis
The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty (成化十四年, 2020) is a Chinese historical detective series you can watch online on iFILM. Darren Chen and Fu Mengbo star as Tang Fan and Sui Zhou — investigators from different branches of imperial authority who have no particular reason to trust each other.
The 14th year of Emperor Chenghua's reign. A nobleman's son dies unexpectedly, and shortly after, a companion to the crown prince disappears without a trace. The cases look unrelated. They aren't. The deeper Tang Fan and Sui Zhou dig, the more they find themselves at the edge of a conspiracy that reaches well above where either man was supposed to look. They clash, clash again, and gradually figure out how to be partners.
