Wallander (2008) is a British detective series you can watch online on iFILM. Kenneth Branagh plays Inspector Kurt Wallander, a weary everyman cop in the quiet Swedish town of Ystad, where brutality keeps surfacing beneath the calm.

It draws on Henning Mankell's novels, pure Nordic noir. Wallander works grim cases: a young woman sets herself on fire right in front of him, opening a trail of questions with no easy answers. Branagh's detective solves the crimes but pays with his own sanity, losing sleep, family and peace along the way. A young Tom Hiddleston turns up in the early episodes.
