Pernicious

Pernicious (2015) is a supernatural horror film — watch it online on iFILM. Three American women rent a house in Thailand for the summer and find a gold statue of a girl inside. They leave it there. That is their first mistake.

The statue belongs to a murdered child whose idea of resolution is not quiet. Director James Cullen Bressack uses the foreignness of the setting deliberately — the rules around death and revenge here are not the rules his characters understand.
