Synopsis
Crazy Alien (疯狂的外星人, 2019) is a Chinese sci-fi comedy you can watch online on iFILM — 116 minutes, directed by Ning Hao. An American official's selfie triggers a chain of mishaps, and the spacecraft goes down into a river outside a Chinese amusement park.
The alien lands among humans convinced they are primitive. Two struggling entertainers find him and mistake him for a rare bald monkey. Geng (Huang Bo), whose actual monkey just died minutes before his show, decides to train the alien as a replacement. His partner (Shen Teng) has other plans. Neither has any idea their new "monkey" has telekinesis and an attitude problem.
Ning Hao built his reputation with Crazy Stone and Crazy Racers — absurdist crime comedies with overlapping storylines — and this one scales the same sensibility up to blockbuster level.
